From 3rd to 15th June 2024, a comprehensive training workshop was held under the auspices of the Pakistan Association of the Blind, Sindh, at the PAB House located at 3C, 13/28, Nazimabad No. 3. The workshop was specially designed for parents and teachers of children with visual disabilities, aiming to equip them with essential skills and knowledge to better support their children and students. The training covered a wide range of important areas, including Urdu and English Braille, the use of screen readers on computers, laptops, and smartphones, and speech therapy. The speech therapy sessions were conducted by the renowned Speech Therapist, Syed Naushad Shaukat, who serves as an MSC, MSE General Consultant in Special Education, Senior Audiologist, and Senior Speech Therapist. The training was skillfully facilitated by Ahmed Khan.
